Why I chose the University of Minnesota Medical School

As a first generation student and underrepresented minority in medicine I wanted to attend a program that valued my unique experiences, the UMN Medical School acknowledges this. I also chose the UMN Medical School commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion, social justice, and mission to train anti-racist physicians. Being from CA, I wanted to come to a place with beautiful winters!
