Microbiology with a minor Native American Studies
Why I chose the University of Minnesota Medical School
I chose the University of Minnesota Duluth due to their supportive staff, diverse opportunities for students, and because of their strong commitment towards Indigenous health shown through their Center for American Indian and Minority Health.
Prior to medical school, I conducted autism research at the UC Davis Primate Center. I was also involved in the Native Americans Into Medicine Program at UMD centering on tobacco health and habits among Native communities. During medical school, I have continued the NAM research program as well as Honoring Choices whose research centers around end of life programs.
