Why I chose the University of Minnesota Medical School

I chose the University of Minnesota because I was very impressed with the structure of the school's curriculum and the numerous resources available to students to learn and grow in the medical field. I also appreciated the fact that the school works very hard to promote diversity and inclusion, and to make the UMN a place one can call home. I am also an out-of-state student and I was looking forward to having a different experience outside of my hometown and so far I have really enjoyed my time in Minnesota.

Medical interests

I am interested in Obstetrics and Gynecology and I hope to specialize in Maternal-Fetal Medicine!

Community Involvement

I am currently involved with the Hands-on-Advocacy Group, which provides a structured opportunity for medical students to run an advocacy campaign on a public health topic. I am also an Admissions Ambassador where I assist the admissions team in sharing my experience as a medical student with prospective Class of 2026 medical students.
