Why I chose the University of Minnesota Medical School

I am a double gopher; I went to the UMN for undergrad as well as medical school. I have enjoyed my experiences on campus and in the Twin Cities as a student, a nature-lover, a city girl, a foodie, and a cooking fanatic. My idea of a perfect weekend consists of the bare minimum: sleeping for 9 hours, indulging in self-care routines, cooking my favorite foods, and enjoying a good movie or TV show with my family and friends. For me, the comfort of being close to family is why the UMN Medical School is special to me. MN is home for me so being able to see family several times a month for birthdays, holidays, and celebrations throughout the school year was always important to me and has played a key role in my own wellbeing. I also enjoyed the comfort of knowing the campus (especially the best study spots!) since I went here for undergrad. :) Beyond general questions, I'm happy to answer questions about: : Exploring MN/Twin Cities, local restaurants, how to transition into the workload of medical school, time management, meal prepping, etc.
