Why I chose the University of Minnesota Medical School

I was born and raised in Minnesota (and went to the U for Undergrad!), so choosing the University of Minnesota Medical School was a no-brainer for me. Beyond that, the University of Minnesota provides high level academics while fostering collaboration among students. In addition, the clinical opportunities here are second to none. Whether participating in a Longitudinal Integrated Clerkship (LIC) or standard block rotations, students are trained to the highest level and have opportunities to tailor their education to their specific interests. The faculty here at the Medical School are simply the best. They are not only national and world leaders in their areas of study, but also great teachers who truly care about student well-being. Outside of academics, the Twin Cities area offers endless opportunities for things to do.
