Why I chose the University of Minnesota Medical School
I chose the University of Minnesota Medical School, Duluth Campus for several reasons. I knew attending a university with smaller class sizes would allow me the opportunity, to both, get to know my classmates and professors well. Additionally, Duluth offered early hands-on exposure to patients through both its local preceptorships and Rural Medical Scholars Program. I believed this early exposure would be invaluable as I train to become a physician. Last, but not least, having lived out of state during my Master's program I was excited to return to a university close to home.
