Why I chose the University of Minnesota Medical School

Hi my name is Leah Larson, and I’m a current medical student at the University of Minnesota. I enjoy cooking, painting, spending time on the lake and traveling! I’ve taken to saying I took the windy road to medical school through phlebotomy and medical device sales to waitressing and even the odd focus group. With every stop resulting in picking up new skills to bring to my future patients. I choose the UMN Medical School as it has the trifecta of research, clinical exposure and school community. At the University of Minnesota your able to gain research experience with some of the top minds in the country while also gaining early hands clinical exposure. But above all UMN provides a great warm community of support and encouragement! Beyond general questions, I'm happy to answer questions about: Happy to answer questions about anything!
