Why I chose the University of Minnesota Medical School

While I am originally from Minnesota, I went to college in Houston, Texas! There, I was able to do a lot of work with refugees and immigrants and those experiences have really shaped by clinical interests today. Outside of medical school, I love to spend time with my family and friends and explore Minnesota's many lakes! I was really interested in the University of Minnesota-Twin Cities campus because of its many diverse engagement opportunities, such as research and social determinants of health work. The faculty has always been so supportive of student interests and works hard to find the best opportunities for everyone.
