Why I chose the University of Minnesota Medical School

The mission of the Duluth campus aligned with my interests in serving rural Minnesota as a primary care physician. The preceptorship experiences at Duluth are tailored and designed to expose us to the lifestyle and career of a rural primary care physician. The small class and faculty size of the Duluth campus was appealing to me as I compared various medical schools--the students and faculty are so helpful and are just a few steps away if I have any concerns!

Research experience

I worked as an undergraduate research assistant for 3.5 years. I performed research on glioblastoma multiforme in mouse models and in tissue culture.
