Why I chose the University of Minnesota Medical School

I studied Neuroscience in undergrad with a minor in Spanish Studies at UMNTC. I grew up in Minnesota, and absolutely love the Twin Cities (concerts, Timberwolves, food, lakes). I am currently most excited about neurology and neurobehavioral research. I initially chose the UMN Medical School due to its commitment to the communities in which I live and proximity to my family. That said, I have grown to love the people more than anything; the faculty, staff, and my classmates are why I love being here. Beyond general questions, I'm happy to answer questions about: I'd be happy to answer questions regarding the timeline of applying for students who do not wish to take a gap year.
