Why I chose the University of Minnesota Medical School
Medicine, for me, is a calling from God, and I love the longitudinal aspect of primary care when serving patients. The University of Minnesota Medical School, Duluth campus has an emphasis on rural primary care, exactly the type of medicine I want to pursue. I hail from a rural community, and I would like to return to a community of similar size in Minnesota as a physician down the road. The smaller class sizes at Duluth are also a huge draw, because our class actually gets to know each other. The city of Duluth and the North Shore area are also great locations for camping and hiking.
