Why I chose the University of Minnesota Medical School

I am originally from the Minneapolis suburbs, but went to UW-Madison for undergrad. I graduated in May 2020 and came right to medical school the next fall! I love doing just about anything outside, hiking, biking and skiing. The thing that drew me to UMN Medical School was the people! Ever since my time as an interviewee, I felt as though I have been treated so kindly and with respect. I was so impressed by how open and willing to help all of the faculty was. In addition, the students all spoke to the collaborative atmosphere of the school which was extremely important to me, and I can now vouch for that as well! I am so happy to be at UMN Medical school because they are constantly willing to take feedback from the students and make things better! Everyone here values your opinion and cares what you think. Beyond general questions, I'm happy to answer questions about: Going straight from undergrad to medical school!
