
Dr. Gorbaty Named Academic & Clinical Director of Cardiothoracic Anesthesiology
The University of Minnesota Department of Anesthesiology is excited to appoint Ben Gorbaty, MD, Assistant Professor, as the Academic and Clinical Director of Cardiothoracic Anesthesiology.
Dr. Gorbaty has been a central member of the cardiothoracic anesthesia team at the University of Minnesota since 2020, serving in key leadership roles within the department. Since 2021, he has been a leader in the Adult Cardiothoracic Anesthesiology Fellowship program and was elevated to program director in 2023. He brings a wealth of knowledge and experience in cardiothoracic training and care.
Dr. Gorbaty earned his doctorate from the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai and completed his anesthesiology residency at Rutgers University. He also holds a fellowship in cardiothoracic anesthesiology from New York University.
