Summary

Allison Holt, MD, is a board-certified psychiatrist who has extensive experience working with adults, adolescents and children. Dr. Holt treats depressive disorders, bipolar disorders, anxiety disorders, substance-related and addictive disorders, attention disorders, trauma and stressor-related disorders, and obsessive-compulsive disorders. While medical expertise forms the foundation of Dr. Holt’s treatment, her warmth and sense of compassion as a psychiatrist are often cited by patients, families, and professionals as key motivating factors for them to succeed. Dr. Holt helps patients understand their options, creating appropriate treatment plans that empower them to move toward positive change. She has been awarded Top Doctor by Minneapolis-St. Paul Magazine in 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017, and 2018.

Dr. Holt is the president-elect of the Minnesota Psychiatric Society 2019-2020. She was the co-editor of the Minnesota Psychiatric Society's newsletter, Ideas of Reference, from 2010-2019.
