Dave Smith, DO, specializes in sports and athletic medicine for all ages. Dr. Smith completed his family medicine residency at the Illinois Masonic Medical Center, with the University of Illinois, Chicago. He then pursued a primary care sports medicine fellowship at the University of Notre Dame. He has expertise in sports medicine, sports concussions, medical orthopedics, obesity treatment, and diagnostic and interventional ultrasound. He also serves as a team physician for the Golden Gophers.

Clinical Summary
As a sports and athletic medicine osteopathic physician, my goal is to integrate all of the advancements of modern medicine with a patient-focused and holistic approach to disease prevention and wellness. I view my patients as partners in the healing process and work to address other barriers which may exist to achieving optimal wellbeing. I ensure all my patients feel heard and listened to while using the best that medicine has to offer to encourage and promote the body’s ability to heal itself.
