Assistant Professor, Department of Dermatology

Faculty Dermatologist at Hennepin County Medical Center

MD, MD, State University of New York at Buffalo

Residency, University of Minnesota

Dr. Hylwa is committed to providing quality skin services to all. She enjoys meeting and getting to know new people and look forward to new patients in my clinic. She recognizes that health encompasses not just the skin, but the whole person and looks forward partnering with my patients along their health journey.

Dr. Hylwa grew up in rural upstate New York. She enjoys yoga, running, and traveling when she is able.

My role through the University includes the mentoring and teaching of dermatology residents in both the outpatient clinic setting and the inpatient hospital setting, as well as through formal didactic lectures throughout the year. I also am involved in mentoring residents in academic writing of research proposals and manuscripts. My clinical research interests include contact dermatitis, medical dermatology, and hospital dermatology.
