Summary

I am a clinician, researcher, and educator with a focus on non-malignant hematology and special interest in thrombosis. I strive to provide passionate care to patients with benign hematological disorders and lead system wide efforts to minimize clinical practice variation in our large academic health care system so patients can receive uniform care no matter where they are. I believe that the foundations of future clinicians are laid in pre-clinical years and lead the hematology course for medical students, I am also actively engaged in teaching and mentoring medical students, residents and fellows. I do outcomes and implementation research with a focus on thrombotic complications in high risk groups particularly cancer, obesity, bariatric surgery, post thrombotic syndrome etc.
