Why I chose Minnesota: As a Minnesota native, I love the state and wanted to stay close to my family and friends. I was lucky to match here at the University of Minnesota for residency. When choosing this program, I not only was impressed with the quality of the education and its reputation across the country, but more importantly, the camaraderie among the residents and great mentorship from the attending surgeons.
