Biography

Bio

A western suburb native of the Twin Cities, Dr. Lund accomplished his BA in Spanish at Amherst College in Massachusetts and his medical degree from the University of Minnesota. Following medical school, Dr. Lund completed his orthopedic residency at the University of Wisconsin–Madison and a fellowship in Orthopedic Trauma at the Florida Orthopaedic Institute. 

Dr. Lund has been an active faculty member of the AO, underscoring a passion for education and a personal mission for mentoring trainees in the field. He is married to the lovely Kimberly Lund and they have two children, Henrik (6) and Kari (4). Apart from family life, he is an avid hockey fan/player and loves spending time outdoors in the Northwoods of Minnesota with his family.

His clinical interests include caring for the injured patients that come through the in-hospital and clinic settings. Treating patients in dire times of need is a privilege and a passion. Doing so in the academic clinical teaching setting adds to the quality of care and career pursuits for Dr. Lund. He treats both upper and lower extremity as well as pelvis and acetabular fractures. He treats nonunion, malunion, deformity subacute or chronic fracture conditions of the upper and lower extremity as well. He also has a passion for infection osteomyelitis treatments which can prove arduous.
