Summary
Elena grew up in multiple cities and countries as an Air Force brat but is a Minnesotan at heart. She attended the University of Minnesota Duluth and Twin Cities campuses for her undergraduate and medical studies and was absolutely thrilled to stay in the Metro for residency. Elena chose UMN for its excellent faculty, historically strong AP and CP training, multiple diverse practice sites, and its gorgeous location in the center of Minneapolis. She is also excited to stay on at UMN for an additional year as a Hematopathology fellow for 2023-2024! In her free time, she loves playing pub trivia with her friends, exploring the picturesque North Shore, and spending time with her two dogs.
