Summary
Dr. Russell was born and raised in North Carolina, where much of her family still lives. She completed a double major at Oberlin College in Chemistry and Religion, with a focus on Ethics. After college she returned to North Carolina to complete medical school at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She completed her internship and residency in Pediatrics at the University of Minnesota, and joined the department of Pediatric Hospital Medicine in 2013. She works as a Pediatric Hospitalist at the M Health Fairview Masonic Children’s Hospital and at Maple Grove Hospital, where she is the currently the vice-chair of the Pediatric Department for the year 2016. Dr. Russell’s clinical and academic interests include well nursery, surgical co-management, and quality improvement.
