Summary
Dr. Hiremath began his medical education at Mysore Medical College in Mysore, Karnataka, India. He then completed a residency in Pediatrics at the Postgraduate Institute of Medical Education and Research in Chandigarh, India. He also completed residency in Pediatrics at Children’s Hospital of Michigan through Wayne State University. Dr. Hiremath earned his fellowship in Pediatric Cardiology at University of California, San Francisco Benioff Children’s Hospital. Dr. Hiremath is PALS and NALS certified and is an active member of many professional organizations including the American Academy of Pediatrics and the American College of Cardiology. Dr. Hiremath has had a very active research history and has earned various awards including twice being awarded the Critical Care Medicine Award for outstanding performance in Pediatric Critical Care at Children’s Hospital of Michigan. At the University of Minnesota, he is currently the principle investigator on 7 active trials and serves as a consultant in device development to local industry.
