Bachelor of Science in Animal Sciences from the University of Missouri 2016. Master of Biological Sciences from the University of Minnesota 2018. Magie began working at the Schulze Diabetes Institute in the fall of 2016 while working on her Masters. She has continued working at SDI as a current Ph.D. student in the Comparative and Molecular Biosciences through the College of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Minnesota. Her research is centered around cell surface carbohydrates on swine cells and attenuating signals for human B cells. She is a type 1 diabetic, which prompted her interest to work at SDI to create hope for current and future diabetics that there is the potential for a cure.
