Summary

Siri Larsen is a Researcher 1 at SDI, joining in December of 2019. She graduated from Hamline University in 2018, receiving dual degrees in Biology (B.S.) and Spanish (B.A.) and a minor in anthropology. She is a member of the Cellular Manufacturing Core, participating in islet isolations from porcine, monkey, and human donors for both clinical transplant and research applications. Siri is additionally assisting with the research and development of an assay to better characterize islet function prior to transplantation. She is looking forward to advancing her education in cellular biology and biochemistry, specifically in islet transplantation and bioenergetics.
