Dr. Jarosek received her PhD in Health Services Research, Administration and Policy from the University of Minnesota School of Public Health. Dr. Jarosek’s research focus is leveraging secondary datasets, especially administrative claims data, for health policy and clinical outcomes research. She has over 10 years of experience working with Medicare data; most of her experience has focused on using Medicare data linked with SEER cancer registry data in the context of prostate cancer. Her substantive area of interest is health care use at the end of life.

Dr. Jarosek serves as co-director of the Clinical Disparities Scholars Program, part of the Center for Healthy African American Men through Partnerships (CHAAMPS), which aims to link junior investigators with analytic support for using secondary data for their research projects.

She also serves as the Director of Workshops for the Research Data Assistance Center (ResDAC), an organization which helps researchers access and use data from the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS).
