The Edwin Eddy Professorship in Neurocommunication Disorders was established in 1987 to support a position for educational, research and patient treatment purposes around stuttering and other forms of communication disorders. Dr. Yu Liu was awarded the Edwin Eddy Professorship in honor of his dedicated interdisciplinary work and collaborations associated with researching neurocommunication disorders. Dr. Liu works closely with Speech-Language Pathologists to investigate new avenues of treatment development combining traditional speech therapy, monitoring and modulation of brain activity.
