We are excited to announce that Dr. Colby Presley (left) and Dr. Chandler Rundle (right) have joined the UMN Department of Dermatology! We look forward to the impact they will make on our patients, trainees, and the field of dermatology. Please join us in congratulating them on this exciting new chapter!

Dr. Colby Presley

Originally from Southern California, Dr. Presley grew up raising animals on his family’s farm and working at his family’s business. He completed his undergraduate studies at Southern Utah University before attending Rocky Vista University College of Osteopathic Medicine where he graduated with honors in Global Medicine and as a member of Gold Humanism Honor Society. He continued his training in dermatology at the Lehigh Valley Health Network/Jefferson Health residency program in Eastern Pennsylvania. His residency provided additional training at Penn State and Children’s Hospital in Philadelphia (CHOP) from national experts in pediatric dermatology. Dr. Presley participates regularly in academic research with over 50 peer-reviewed journal publications. His current research interests are in skin cancer prevention, treatment, and the role of artificial intelligence in Dermatology.

Dr. Presley’s care philosophy has two branches of thought: Prevention and Treatment. On the first branch, he emphasizes the prevention of skin cancer and skin disease which plagues many patients. On the second branch, he visualizes treatment as a team effort. He gets to know his patients, discusses what dermatological disease entails, and maps out the best treatment option together.

Outside of the clinic, Dr. Presley enjoys being outdoors by means of hiking, pickleball, gardening or walking his yellow labrador, Lucy. He is a Peloton enthusiast and much better baker than cook. He spends time with his family and friends exploring new restaurants and coffee shops and has recently been trying his hand at the pottery wheel. He is beyond excited to explore all the outdoor activities and restaurants in the Twin Cities and greater Minnesota!

Dr. Rundle has trained at several distinguished institutions across the country. He completed his undergraduate studies at the University of California, San Diego, earned his medical degree at Loma Linda University, and went on to complete dermatology residency at Duke University. Dr. Rundle specializes in the surgical and multidisciplinary care of skin cancers, with expertise in Mohs surgery, advanced cutaneous oncology, and complex reconstruction. He brings with him a strong commitment to patient-centered care, education, and innovation in dermatologic surgery.
