Summary
Dr. Lee finished her Internal Medicine and Pediatrics residency at the University of Minnesota and is excited to serve as one of the global health chief residents this year, 2021-2022. She became interested in health inequities and the intersections between health, education, and policy after opportunities to volunteer at Chicago public schools during college which led to a year of AmeriCorps service in Houston, TX. This led to her MPH training which helped her develop skills and interest in epidemiology and public health data analysis. During residency, the global health community at the University of Minnesota brought many opportunities to learn more about global health and working with refugee populations present in the Twin Cities. She has worked on projects investigating how to further improve healthcare that we provide for Limited English Proficiency patients, specifically in regards to working with interpreters.
