
Dr. Tyler Bold Appointed Director of Physician-Scientist Training Program
Dr. Tyler Bold has been named Director of the Department of Medicine’s Physician-Scientist Training Program (PSTP).
His appointment comes at a pivotal moment, as Dean Jakub Tolar has committed $1 million in new funding over the next five years to expand the PSTP’s reach and impact, further strengthening its mission to train the next generation of physician-scientists.
In this new role, Dr. Bold will lead trainee recruitment, mentorship, and curriculum development, while enhancing collaboration across departments to foster a physician-scientist community.
Dr. Bold completed his MD/PhD at New York University and his Infectious Diseases fellowship at Massachusetts General Hospital. His research focuses on the adaptive immune response to Mycobacterium tuberculosis.
