Mid-Career Women in Academic Medicine (MCWAM)

The mid-career women in academic medicine (MCWAM) program is a new faculty interest group with quarterly faculty development activities including mentoring, networking, and workshops and seminars. 

Women comprise greater than 50% of the healthcare workforce, yet they are underrepresented in leadership positions. Moreover, women are less likely to hold the rank of associate or full professor, even after adjusting for factors associated with academic advancement.
