C2DREAM Pilot Grant Program Cycle 2 RFA is now Live!
The NIMHD-funded Center for Chronic Disease Reduction and Equity Promotion Across
Minnesota (C2DREAM) invites applications for the mentored research project Pilot
Grant Program for post-doctoral fellows and early-stage investigators to address chronic
disease health disparities in Minnesota communities. The C2DREAM Investigator
Development (ID) core is especially interested in community-engaged research projects
that address disparities or inequities related to Cardiovascular Disease (CVD) and other
Related Chronic Conditions (RCC) of hypertension and obesity, among communities
identifying as Black, Indigenous, People of Color (BIPOC), Immigrants and/or Refugees
within Minnesota. Priority will be given to applications that consider the role of racism or
discrimination (including systemic or structural racism) on CVD and RCC disease risk,
community experiences, or patient outcomes. Proposals must align with the C2DREAM
Conceptual Model. This pilot grant program is designed to support post-doctoral
fellows and early-stage investigators, and help them obtain preliminary data
needed for independent grant applications to the NIH or other funders.
