Welcome New IEM Members (Feb. 2025)

We are excited to welcome four new IEM members: 

• Shancong Mou: Dr. Mou is an assistant Professor in the Department of Industrial and Systems Engineering studying and enhancing the modeling and decision-making for complex systems with healthcare applications
• Detlef Heck: Dr. Heck is the Head of the Department of Biomedical Sciences at the University of Minnesota Medical School, Duluth Campus. His research focuses on studying network aspects of brain function.
• Mary Jo Kreitzer: Dr. Kreitzer is the founder and director of the Earl E. Bakken Center for Spirituality & Healing. Her research focuses on optimal healing environments, integrative therapies and healing practices, and mindfulness-based stress reduction
• Lin Yee Chen: Dr. Chen is the Director of the Lillehei Heart Institute, a research institute whose mission is to discover novel strategies to promote cardiovascular health and reduce suffering from cardiovascular disease.

IEM members lend their expertise and play a critical role in advancing healthcare innovation at the University, the state of Minnesota, and beyond. IEM offers members:
