New Article in Stem Cell Reports by Aline M.S. Yamashita, Ph.D.
Congratulations to Aline M.S. Yamashita for her new publication in Stem Cell Reports: “Effect of Notch1 signaling on muscle engraftment and maturation from pluripotent stem cells.” Dr. Yamashita is a Post-doctoral Associate in the lab of Rita Perlingeiro, Ph.D. Her article highlights research that demonstrates:
- Notch1 manipulation does not alter the regenerative potential of iPax3 myogenic progenitors
- Notch1 signaling contributes to fiber type composition and myofiber maturation
- Loss of Notch1 signaling impairs satellite cell homing during regeneration
- Transcriptional profiling of iPax3 satellite cells shows Notch1 regulates ECM, cell cycle and metabolism
