Details

Catalog Description: Students have the opportunity to become adept in the use of the sigmoidoscope as well as performing various outpatient anorectal procedures as they gain experience on an active surgical service with busy clinicians. They first assist on surgical procedures and are expected to attend the colon and rectal surgery seminars. Further opportunities to learn are available with various members of the teaching staff at affiliated hospitals.

Students will go to all three sites

Required session attendance: Does not apply

Typical weekly schedule/Delivery Mode: M-F, 6:00am-5:00pm.  No call.  Saturday and Sunday off.  Mon/Fri clinic days, Tues-Thurs surgery days
