Catalog Description: Our students have few opportunities for interaction with insurance, industry, or Health Systems at the executive and managerial levels. UnitedHealth Group has opened their doors for us and we have developed a collaborative elective exposing students to insurance and health system leadership.

Required session attendance: Orientation (the first Monday of rotation), Friday in-person sessions at Optum

Typical weekly schedule/Delivery Mode: Wednesday 9 AM - Noon in-person at UMN, Friday 9 AM - 4 PM at Optum. 6 hours asynchronous/virtual for the month, remainder of time for assigned readings/viewings/work on project.
