Becoming a Mentor: A Workshop for New (and Future) Research Mentors of Undergraduates
This workshop will build upon the concepts outlined in the self-paced, online training module, Optimizing the Practice of Mentoring 102: For Research Mentors of Undergraduate Students. Participants are asked to complete this module before participating in the May 12 workshop. Register for Optimizing the Practice of Mentoring 102 here. In this workshop, participants will differentiate between technical advising and mentoring, define core roles of effective research mentors, and prepare to engage in evidence-based mentoring practices to support undergraduate researchers.
