Couple Returns to Minnesota, This Time to Make an Impact in Medicine

Rahel Nardos, MD, MCR, and Damien Fair, PA-C, PhD, a married couple with two different medical specialties just joined the University of Minnesota Medical School. Dr. Fair is a Professor in the Division of Clinical Behavioral Neuroscience with the Department of Pediatrics and in the College of Education and Human Development’s Institute of Child Development. He is also the Redleaf Endowed Director of the Masonic Institute for the Developing Brain. His wife, Dr. Nardos is an Associate Professor and a urogynecologist in the Department of Obstetrics, Gynecology, and Women’s Health. She is also the Director for Global Women's Health at the Center for Global Health and Social Responsibility.

While at the University of Minnesota, Dr. Fair and his colleagues at the Director of the Masonic Institute for the Developing Brain will focus on research surrounding early diagnosis, prevention and treatment of neurodevelopmental disorders. Dr. Nardos can provide growth opportunities and partnerships with other medical and research facilities globally that could impact local underserved women’s health in various communities.
