Dr. Casey built her research skills at the Brain Injury Research Laboratory at what was then Hennepin County Medical Center (now Hennepin Healthcare) in Minneapolis, and in the laboratory of Keith Solomon, PhD, Department of Orthopedic Surgery at Children’s Hospital in Boston, MA. She also helped co-author some journal articles.

When Dr. Casey has free time, she enjoys being with friends and family, volunteering, learning martial arts, traveling, surfing, snowboarding, hiking, cooking, practicing yoga, appreciating art, and watching sports.
