Dr. Carolyn Bramante Discusses the Development of Healthy Habits

Health and weight loss can be promoted in unrealistic and toxic ways on social media, with the growing rise of products like detox teas, and the conversation surrounding it can often be riddled with inaccuracies.

Carolyn Bramante, MD, Assistant Professor in the Department of Pediatrics and Internal Medicine, joined MPR News' Angela Davis to break down the conversation around health and weight on social media.

“The causes are very unique to every person so you really need a clinician who has time to get to know that patient very well,” says Dr. Carolyn Bramante. “In pediatrics, one of the biggest problems that is likely contributing to obesity in most of my patients is poor sleep habits.”
