Dr. Geller part of team awarded CTSI's KL2 Scholar

Emil Lou, MD, PhD, Assistant Professor in the Department of Medicine, was one of five named a Clinical and Translational Science Institute (CTSI) KL2 Scholar. Melissa Geller, MD, MS, Associate Professor in the Department of OBGYN is on his team of mentors that also includes Greg Vercellotti, MDRichard King, MD, PhD, and Chap Le, PhD. The project title is Novel Biomarkers of Chemoresistant Ovarian Cancers.

The KL2 Scholars Program is available to Assistant Professors (in rank less than or equal to six years) conducting clinical or translational research. The program provides salary support, research funds and travel funds for three years. The program requires a primary, secondary and biostatistician faculty mentoring team and includes weekly multidisciplinary seminars.
