Dr. Hutchins Named Perioperative Senior Medical Director

Associate Professor of Anesthesiology, Dr. Jake Hutchins has accepted the position of Perioperative Senior Medical Director at the M Health Fairview University of Minnesota Medical Center. He has long worked to develop perioperative and interventional pain services at the medical center.

Dr. Hutchins will work with Dr. Heather Sheridan to oversee perioperative medicine and improve operations at the M Health Fairview University of Minnesota Medical Center. He'll be responsible and accountable for efficiency, flow, quality, and safety in the perioperative space.

He will assume the role July 1, 2022.

Dr. Hutchins attended medical school, completed his residency, and his fellowship in cardiothoracic anesthesiology all at the University of Minnesota. He has also recently completed a Masters of Healthcare Administration at the University of Minnesota.

Many thanks to Dr. Robert Gould for his years of outstanding service and accomplishments in this role. We wish him all the best as he transitions to become Medical Director of the Intensive Care Unit at M Health Fairview Southdale Hospital.
