June 21 marks the longest day of the year, the summer solstice. With it comes more direct UV rays which, if exposed to for extended periods of time, can have harmful effects on our skin. To help us understand what we can do to mitigate these risks, Dr. Ingrid Polcari, Department of Dermatology, joined MPR host Tom Crann.

Among the topics discussed in her interview with MPR is the use of sunscreen, understanding the UV index, and insight into the rising number of Melanoma cases in Minnesota.
