I am pleased to announce the appointment of Jeffrey Chipman, MD, to the Executive Vice-Chair, Surgical Specialties role in the Department of Surgery beginning today, Monday, July 11, 2022. In this role, he will partner with the Division Chiefs in Pediatric Surgery, Bariatric Surgery, Colon & Rectal Surgery, Acute Care Surgery, Plastic Surgery, Surgical Oncology, and Community General Surgery to develop strategies that support clinical growth across the crescent, equitable access to academic resources, quality and safety outcomes.

Dr. Chipman has a long track record of effective leadership within the department bringing together Acute Care Surgery and Critical Care across the M Health Fairview system. It is my pleasure to formally recognize the work of Dr. Chipman and his contributions on behalf of the department.

Please join me in congratulating him!

Sincerely,
