In an effort to improve community support of military transitions in the Duluth area, Dr. Sarah Beehler, assistant professor in the Department of Family Medicine and Biobehavioral Health has launched a new study that will examine service members and military family experiences during the post-deployment transition.

Dr. Beehler, who is a community psychologist, specializes in community-based approaches to promoting mental health. Her current work has focused on multilevel community health interventions for veterans in rural areas.

Beehler and her team are looking for volunteers who are newly discharged veterans, active-duty personnel, as well as family members and those who are involved in veteran support services regarding the transition to civilian life.

If you have questions about the study or are interested in participating, visit the Military Transitions Research Study website here.
