Patricia Scott, PhD, Assistant Professor of Biomedical Sciences, was recently awarded a two-year $275,000 NIH R21 grant with colleagues in the Medical School; PI Anna Prizment, PhD, Associate Professor of Medicine, Division of Hematology, Oncology and Transplantation at the University of Minnesota Medical School, and Co-I's Nathan Pankratz, PhD, Associate Professor in the Department of Laboratory Medicine and Pathology at the UMN Medical School, and Tim Starr, PhD, Associate Professor of Obstetrics, Gynecology, and Women's Health (OBGYN) at the UMN Medical School. The title of their project is, "Role of genetic and epigenetic alterations in CFTR in colorectal cancer," and the project is set to run for two years, ending in 2023.
