We are pleased to announce that Lisa Sun, MD, has accepted the role as Associate Program Director for the Department of Anesthesiology Residency Program. She will work with Dr. Fromer and our education team to continue to grow and improve our residency program.

Dr. Sun has been actively engaged in the education and well-being of residents and faculty peers. In her new role, she will be working directly with the education team and Dr. Fromer to address the many tasks related to regulation and supervision of residents by ACGME and the GME office. She will be working with Dr. Fromer in specific tasks related to the education curriculum build, well-being of residents and partnering with her in many of the regulatory activities of the residency program.

"Our department and residency program are constantly innovating and refining what we do in all realms, including in education, physician well-being and clinical care. This is a welcoming department that will provide you with support in any career path you choose," says Dr. Sun.

Dr. Sun is an assistant professor of anesthesiology and fellowship-trained in regional anesthesiology and acute pain medicine. She is co-chair of our department Wellness committee and a faculty mentor in our Women in Anesthesia chapter.
