Ethics Grand Rounds with Dr. Mary Owen
There is a general misconception that Native Americans receive free healthcare. This talk on October 9 with the Center of American Indian and Minority Health Director, Dr. Mary Owen, will dispel that notion and give a short history and current status of the Indian Health Care system. We will discuss the results of chronic underfunding of the Indian Health Service with a focus on the state and national impacts of COVID-19 on Native American populations.
