"Nice White Women" Racism and What to Do About It

Presentation and Q&A by Moira Ozias, MSW, PhD

Over the past few years, Becky and Karen have become names synonymous with white women's furthering of white supremacy. However, how white women feel about their (in)actions regarding racial equity, along with what educators can/should do about these (in)actions, are underdeveloped opportunities for critical praxis. In this talk, Dr. Moira Ozias will discuss her work on white women's affective dis/connections to white supremacy, including possible strategies for racial justice focused on Black, Brown, and Indigenous freedom.
