New Treatment Proves to be a Game-changer for Young Boy Battling Atopic Dermatitis

Associate Professor, Dr. Sheilagh Maguiness, was recently featured in a MHealth Fairview article, "New Treatment Proves to be a Game-changer for Young Boy Battling Atopic Dermatitis," which highlights the "all day, every dau" struggle for young Kyan Larkin and his family - until his M Health Fairview care team connected Kyan with a new, leading-edge treatment. Atopic dermatitis is the most common chronic inflammatory skin condition they treat, affecting about 20 percent of children nationwide at some point, and if treated early, topical treatments can be effective. Today, Kyan is a happy second grader who loves playing outside – something he couldn’t do before without risking infection.
