Todd Tuttle, MD Appointed Vice Chair of Global Surgery and Disparities

tuttleTodd Tuttle, MD has been appointed Vice Chair of Global Surgery and Disparities. In this role he will seek to develop an academic global surgery program that will promote clinical service, research, and education in resource-limited communities globally and in the United States (especially within the Indian Health Service). He will continue his previous clinical practice and research activities, but will step down as Chief of the Division of Surgical Oncology.

"I have been honored to serve in this role over the past 14 years, and to see the Division expand from a one-surgeon group to a division of five fellowship-trained surgical oncologists who provide specialized surgical care to cancer patients," says Tuttle.  "We are assembling a multidisciplinary search committee to recruit the next surgical oncologist to lead the Division."

"Thank you for your support and friendship over the years, and I will appreciate your guidance and assistance moving forward as we develop a global surgery program that helps meet the needs of the under-served, both internationally and here in the United States," Tuttle states in the Department announcement.
